The pricing story
Figma kept its Professional plan at $12 per editor for nearly a decade — then restructured everything in March 2025. The new seat model (Full, Dev, Collab, View) raised the flagship full seat to $16/month billed annually, a 33% increase, while newly-bundled products (Dev Mode, FigJam, Slides, Buzz, Make) justify the jump. It's the classic post-IPO pattern: don't 'raise prices', restructure packaging so the seat most professionals need costs more. Teams with many developers felt it hardest, since Dev Mode access that was once included in a cheaper tier now requires its own $12 seat.
