iCloud+ is the control group of this archive: US prices haven't moved since the modern tiers were set in 2016–2017. Fifty gigabytes still costs $0.99, 200GB is $2.99, and 2TB holds at $9.99, with Apple expanding upward instead — 6TB ($29.99) and 12TB ($59.99) arrived in September 2023 for photographers and families. Apple doesn't need to raise storage prices; iCloud's job is retention, keeping every iPhone's backups, photos, and passwords too entangled to leave.
