Peacock more than doubled its ad-supported price in three years: $4.99 until mid-2023, then $5.99, $7.99, and $10.99 by July 2025, with hikes timed suspiciously well against Olympics and NFL seasons. Premium Plus (ad-free) climbed from $9.99 to $16.99 over the same stretch. NBCUniversal softened the 2025 jump by introducing a stripped-down $7.99 'Select' tier — the now-standard playbook of adding a cheaper decoy while the real tiers march upward. Sports remain the hook, and sports rights inflation means this trajectory has no obvious ceiling.
